Chestnut Hill Center is sponsoring a half-day Workshop for Cooperators and friends of Opus Dei in New England on:
New Date: Saturday, December 14th (originally scheduled for December 7; change due to funeral Mass for Fr. Richard Rieman, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Dedham on December 7)
Time: 8:00am to 2:00pm (breakfast & lunch included)
Place: 481 Hammond Street, Chestnut Hill, MA
Rev Robert A. Gahl, Jr., Ph.D. will give a talk on Self-Mastery, Sexuality and Neuroscience, the topic of a seminar that he is moderating at Harvard this fall. A correct understanding in these areas is important to grow in holy purity for ourselves and to properly guide our children. It greatly aids in the development of the contemplative life amidst life’s daily activities.
Rev. Gahl is a visiting faculty fellow at Harvard’s Human Flourishing Program while on a semester leave from his course work as Associate Professor of Ethics in the School of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce) in Rome.
The workshop begins with a meditation at 8:00 am and Mass in the chapel. Besides Rev. Gahl’s talk, there will be a presentation regarding current activities associated with Opus Dei in New England and a discussion on ways Cooperators can support the apostolates of Chestnut Hill Center. Both breakfast and lunch are included as part of the schedule. The Workshop ends at 2:00 pm.
The fee for the Workshop is $60.
