Young men in high school come each month to The Edge at Chestnut Hill.  To give you a brief view of what happens, let’s look at the mid-March, 2018 session.  Jim Stenson, Mike Madison, Andy O’Meara and Ted O’Neill led the freshmen in a discussion of True Manliness. The boys read short essays they wrote on the subject after talking to their parents prior to the session.

Matt McDonald introduced the sophomores and juniors to the subject of Journalism as a career.  Matt has worked in various fields in journalism and currently is the editor of the online newspaper, The New Boston Post.  The boys were able to do some reporting at the session. They wrote the lead story for April 15, 1865, to recount the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. Matt gave them on the spot critiques of their articles.  That is Matt addressing the boys in the picture above.

Dwight Duncan leads the senior section of The Edge each month.  Dwight addressed the topic of the Reliability of Scripture in March. Dwight’s class is in a seminar format and there is always lots of animated discussion.  Afterwards all of the boys and the Edge staff enjoy a snack in the Chestnut Hill Center dining room.

Two more sessions mark the spring line-up for The Edge this year.  The fall session starts on September 15.
